Killabeatz

With a wide range of musical tastes in all genres of music, Planky started out as a drummer playing to tracks from the likes of Metallica, Pantera, Nirvana in a band that was put together from back in his school days, from here he went on begin djing Hip hop,Hardcore & jungle and and playing out at free festivals, partys around the south. He went on to start playing abt with hip hop alot more, and with discovering likes of jazzy jeff, Dj Craze and of course Grandmaster Flash doing there thing, scratching and cutting was the next step.

Securing residentcies in various clubs around the South West. Planky then got togther a Uk Garage kru, that consisted of, J-Spectacular, Slc (AKA Combat Collins), Tel-Mc, Sense, Drunken Stylee & Taktix. This made up The L.T.K and the collective got regular bookings all around the south of England and also parts of london. Eventually the collective started getting up to record some demo’s with the Dreem Teem’s Timmi Magik and Lee Majors from Magic Studios in Tottenham. After seeing and understanding how music production was done, he got his own studio set up sorted and began writting various different styles of music. Today Planky is the driving force behind Killabeatz working along side many musicans and artists the help make the Killabeatz Hip Hop, Drum & Bass and Dub Step projects. Working closely with Guitarist Dave McLorie for nearly 15yrs and also with Dj/Producer Zen has helped develop Killabeatz to a recognised production team, this is shown in all areas of Killabeatz Recordings hip hop and drum and bass productions.
